For this project, my University teamed up with the CCA, an arts centre in Glasgow, providing me with the opportunity to take my designs right through to sale.

 

Identifying that both home décor and Glasgow motifs were great selling points in the CCA, I decided to design a vase, inspired by the murals of Glasgow. The initial form was created by modelling polymer clay over the surface of a 3D printed design. The final items were then produced as white Jesmonite casts.

 

My product was even featured in two national newspapers to help promote the CCAs Christmas collection. This, combined with the fact that the vases sold out, made this a very rewarding project.
